Red Cross mobile medical teams assist residents of the Chernihiv region
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society continues to support residents of remote settlements in the Chernihiv region. To improve access to medical services, the organization uses special mobile medical teams that regularly visit the communities most affected by the consequences of the war.
The main goal of these teams is to provide basic medical care to people who are unable to reach a hospital on their own. Specialists conduct primary examinations, measure blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and provide necessary consultations regarding the patients' health status.
In addition to medical examinations, the mobile teams provide local residents with essential medicines. This is especially important for the elderly and patients with chronic diseases who require constant medication but have limited access to pharmacies due to the destruction of infrastructure or the long distance to the nearest medical facility.
The work of the mobile teams is part of a broader humanitarian mission of the Red Cross in Ukraine. Thanks to these visits, it is possible not only to treat diseases in the early stages but also to provide psychological support to people who find themselves in difficult life circumstances.
Such initiatives remain critically important for maintaining public health in frontline and de-occupied regions. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers and medics, residents of remote villages gain the confidence that they are not left alone with their problems.
