Government allocates 518 million hryvnias to protect state systems from cyberattacks
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made a decision to allocate 518 million hryvnias for the modernization and protection of state information systems. These funds will be directed toward creating reliable backup systems that will help preserve important data during enemy attacks.
According to government representatives, the Russian Federation has recently significantly increased cyber pressure on Ukrainian digital infrastructure. Constant attempts to breach state resources require the immediate updating of defensive mechanisms and the creation of redundant servers that will ensure the uninterrupted operation of public services.
The funding will be used to purchase modern equipment and implement new software solutions. This will allow for faster restoration of access to services in the event of critical situations or attempts to interfere with the operation of state databases.
In addition to technical upgrades, specialists are working on strengthening cybersecurity across all key agencies. The state's goal is to make digital infrastructure resilient to any external threats so that citizens can continue to use electronic services without obstacles.
This decision is part of Ukraine's overall strategy to strengthen national security under martial law. The government continues to work on protecting the country's information space from attempts at destabilization by the aggressor.
