Why flu vaccines are still unavailable in Ukrainian pharmacies
Flu vaccines have not yet appeared in Ukrainian pharmacies, even though they usually become available to the public by the beginning of October. This is causing concern among citizens who plan to get vaccinated before the start of the active epidemic season.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine explains this situation by citing delays in drug production. Since vaccine supply depends on international pharmaceutical companies, any logistical or production difficulties at the global level directly affect the Ukrainian market.
Currently, the relevant ministry is working to accelerate the process of delivering vaccines to pharmacy chains. Experts assure that the drugs will go on sale in the near future, as soon as all necessary quality control and logistics procedures are completed.
Doctors remind that vaccination remains the most effective way to protect against the flu and its complications. Despite the delay, medical professionals advise Ukrainians not to postpone vaccination and to keep an eye on updates regarding the availability of the drugs at their local pharmacies.
