Ukraine to receive Rafale fighter jets and licenses for SCALP missile production
Ukraine has reached new agreements with France to strengthen the country's defense capabilities. As part of a new military aid package, Kyiv will receive modern Rafale fighter jets, as well as licenses for the joint production of long-range SCALP missiles.
Rafale fighter jets are among the most advanced combat aircraft in the world. They are capable of performing a wide range of tasks, including intercepting aerial targets and striking ground objects. It is expected that these aircraft will significantly enhance the capabilities of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in protecting the Ukrainian sky.
In addition to the supply of finished equipment, an important step was the agreement on the localization of SCALP missile production. This will allow Ukraine to independently manufacture these high-precision munitions at its own facilities. Such cooperation reduces dependence on imports and ensures a stable supply of weaponry for the needs of the front.
These decisions are the result of lengthy negotiations between the Ukrainian and French governments. Both sides emphasize that such support is critically important for the security of Europe and will help Ukraine more effectively resist aggression. The timelines for the delivery of the aircraft and the start of missile production will be determined in the near future.
