The number of people living below the poverty line has increased in Ukraine
According to the latest data, the economic situation in Ukraine has changed significantly compared to 2021. Experts report a significant increase in the number of citizens who have fallen below the poverty line. Currently, this figure has effectively doubled compared to the period before the start of the full-scale invasion.
According to the released information, about 12 million people in Ukraine may be living below the poverty line. This indicates serious challenges for the country's social sphere and economy, which have arisen due to prolonged hostilities and the destruction of infrastructure.
The rise in poverty levels is linked to many factors, including job losses, forced displacement, and a general decline in household income. Many Ukrainian families have faced financial difficulties, which significantly complicates access to basic needs.
The situation remains difficult, and government agencies, together with international partners, are looking for ways to support the most vulnerable segments of the population. Social programs and humanitarian aid play an important role in ensuring the livelihood of those who find themselves in a difficult situation.
The future recovery of Ukraine's economy will depend on the stabilization of the situation and the effectiveness of social protection programs. The issue of overcoming poverty remains one of the main priorities for ensuring a stable life for citizens during this difficult period.
