Head of SAPO Oleksandr Klymenko commented on rumors regarding anti-corruption investigations
The Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), Oleksandr Klymenko, has made an official statement regarding information circulated in the media about an operation codenamed "Carthage." Recently, reports have appeared on social media and in certain publications concerning the activities of the agency's head and his associates.
During a conversation with journalists, Oleksandr Klymenko refuted assumptions that he or members of his family are involved in criminal proceedings. He emphasized that neither he nor his close relatives have received any notices of suspicion from law enforcement agencies.
The head of SAPO stressed that such claims are baseless and may be aimed at discrediting Ukraine's anti-corruption institutions. According to him, the prosecutor's office continues its work as usual, and all procedural actions are carried out strictly within the framework of current legislation.
Currently, the situation surrounding "Operation Carthage" remains a subject of discussion in professional circles. Representatives of anti-corruption agencies urge citizens to trust only official sources of information and to avoid spreading unverified data that could harm investigations.
This event once again highlights the importance of transparency in the work of state structures, especially those involved in the fight against corruption. The public continues to monitor the development of events, awaiting official reports on the activities of the SAPO and other law enforcement agencies in the country.
