New threat discovered in Kyiv: Russian repeaters for kamikaze drones
In recent days, information has emerged in the Ukrainian media space about a new danger during enemy attacks on Kyiv. According to experts, special Russian devices, so-called Mesh repeaters, may be operating in the capital. They help enemy Shahed-type kamikaze drones navigate better during flight.
These devices create a short-term communication channel that allows Russian operators to adjust strikes on specific targets in real time. The use of such technology makes the drones more accurate and dangerous, as they can change their flight trajectory directly while approaching an object.
Specialists emphasize that detecting such repeaters is a difficult task, as they can be hidden within urban infrastructure. This creates additional challenges for Ukrainian air defense forces, which are forced to adapt to the aggressor's new methods of warfare.
Currently, relevant services are conducting inspections and strengthening security measures to detect and neutralize these devices. Kyiv residents are reminded of the importance of following safety rules during air raid alerts and are urged not to ignore danger signals, as the enemy is constantly improving its attack tactics.
