Heat supply modernization: new technologies in 26 Ukrainian cities
A large-scale project to modernize heat supply systems has been successfully completed in Ukraine. Thanks to the implementation of modern technologies, residents of 26 Ukrainian cities have gained more stable and efficient access to heating.
A key partner in this project was Schneider Electric. The company provided specialized equipment that allows for better control over the operation of pumping stations and ventilation systems. This is an important step toward improving the country's utility infrastructure.
The foundation of the new system consists of modern control cabinets equipped with variable frequency drives. These devices help automatically regulate the operation of pumps and forced-draft mechanisms based on real-time demand. This technology not only helps maintain a comfortable temperature in homes but also significantly saves electricity.
Thanks to the automation of processes, utility companies will be able to respond more quickly to changes in network operations and avoid emergency situations. This significantly increases the reliability of heat supply, especially during the winter period.
This project is part of an energy efficiency strategy being implemented in Ukraine. The use of modern technologies helps make urban infrastructure more resilient and environmentally friendly, which is important for the development of Ukrainian cities in the future.
