Spain to help Ukraine restore air traffic management system
Spain has officially announced its intention to support Ukraine in the restoration and modernization of its air traffic management system. This sector has suffered significant damage due to Russia's full-scale invasion, which led to a complete halt of civil flights in the country.
As part of this initiative, the Spanish side will provide financial assistance and technical expertise. The goal of the project is to prepare Ukrainian aviation infrastructure for the future resumption of flights once the security situation allows for it.
Modernizing the system involves implementing modern European flight management standards. This will help Ukrainian specialists integrate more quickly into Europe's single aviation space and improve safety levels in the skies after the hostilities conclude.
Restoring air travel is an important step for Ukraine's economic development. Although the skies over the country remain closed to civilian aircraft for now, preparing for their reopening is a strategically important task for the state.
