Ukraine to implement European standards for medical device control
Ukrainian specialists in state market surveillance for medical devices participated in a special seminar organized by the European Union. The purpose of the event was to study the experience of European countries in the field of quality control and safety of medical products.
During the training, experts discussed modern practices currently in effect in EU countries. This knowledge will help Ukraine adapt its own surveillance system to European requirements. This is an important step toward ensuring that medical devices on the Ukrainian market meet high safety standards.
Implementing new rules will allow for better control over the quality of goods reaching hospitals and pharmacies. This directly impacts patient health, as reliable medical devices are the foundation of effective treatment and safe diagnostics.
Cooperation with the European Union in this area is part of a broader process of Ukraine's integration into the European space. It is expected that the skills acquired will help Ukrainian state authorities operate more transparently and efficiently, protecting consumers' rights to high-quality medical products.
