Ukraine successfully tests new interceptor drone to combat Russian UAVs
Ukraine has successfully conducted tests of a new type of interceptor drone. This development was created specifically to combat Russian jet-powered 'Shahed' drones, which the enemy uses to attack Ukrainian cities.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the testing of the new technology. According to him, the development demonstrated effectiveness during field trials. This is an important step toward strengthening the country's air defense and protecting critical infrastructure from aerial threats.
Currently, specialists are continuing work on refining the device. Although the initial tests were successful, the drones require further improvements before mass production begins. Engineers are working to make the system as reliable as possible and ready for combat missions.
Mass production of such interceptors will help Ukrainian defenders shoot down enemy targets more effectively. This will allow for the conservation of expensive air defense missiles by using more accessible and specialized means to destroy kamikaze drones.
It is expected that after all technical work is completed, the new drones will enter service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This will strengthen our nation's ability to counter Russian attacks in the airspace.
