Safe Learning: Another School Shelter Opened in Chernihiv Region
KFC Ukraine, in partnership with the savED charitable foundation, continues to implement the important social project "Star Collection." Recently, as part of this initiative, a fourth school shelter was opened, which was equipped for students in the Chernihiv region. This facility will allow children to continue their education in safe conditions even during air raid alerts.
The project aims to restore access to education in regions most affected by hostilities. The new shelter is equipped with everything necessary for the comfortable stay of students and teachers: it features comfortable furniture, lighting, internet, and study areas. Beyond safety, the organizers sought to create a space where children can feel calm and focused.
Funding for the work was made possible through the active participation of the restaurant chain's customers, who contributed to the charitable collection. Every hryvnia donated by visitors brings the organizers closer to their main goal: to provide safe shelters for as many educational institutions as possible in frontline and de-occupied zones of Ukraine.
To date, the savED foundation team and their partners have already equipped several such facilities in various communities of the region. According to project representatives, they do not plan to stop there and are already preparing plans for the opening of new shelters in the future.
Thanks to such initiatives, Ukrainian students are given the opportunity to study fully, despite the difficult conditions of wartime. The opening of such spaces is an important step in supporting the educational process and the psychological comfort of children in Ukraine.
