President of Ukraine presents housing certificates to Heroes and families of fallen defenders
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a solemn ceremony for the presentation of housing certificates. The documents were received by 20 Ukrainian service members who were awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine, as well as the families of defenders who gave their lives for the independence of the state.
During the event, the head of state emphasized the importance of supporting those who demonstrated extraordinary courage on the battlefield. Providing housing is part of the state program for the social protection of veterans and the families of fallen heroes who have received the highest state award.
Among the recipients of the certificates are both active-duty military personnel and the relatives of fallen warriors. The President expressed gratitude to every defender for their contribution to the fight for Ukraine's freedom, stressing that the state will continue to take care of those who stood up to defend our country.
This initiative is part of the government's systematic work aimed at improving living conditions for veterans and honoring the memory of fallen heroes. Similar events take place regularly to ensure decent living conditions for families who have suffered great losses during the war.
At the end of the meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with those present and assured them that the issue of social support for defenders remains one of the top priorities for the Ukrainian government.
