Canada to allocate over 30 million dollars to support Ukrainian veterans
The Government of Canada has announced the provision of financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of up to 40 million Canadian dollars. These funds will be directed toward the implementation of important social programs that will help Ukrainian defenders return to a full civilian life.
The main portion of the funding will go toward the development of a system for the rehabilitation and health recovery of veterans. The programs provide not only medical assistance but also psychological support, which is critically important for those who have experienced combat.
In addition to treatment, the funds will be directed toward the professional adaptation of former military personnel. This will help veterans acquire new skills, find employment, and successfully integrate into society after completing their service.
This initiative is part of a long-term cooperation between Ukraine and Canada. The Government of Canada has repeatedly emphasized its support for the Ukrainian people and its readiness to help in overcoming the consequences of the war.
Thanks to this assistance, thousands of Ukrainian veterans will be able to receive high-quality support and recover more quickly. This is an important step for strengthening the social protection of those who defended the independence of Ukraine.
