European Union plans to allocate 90 billion euros in aid to Ukraine

The European Union has announced plans to provide Ukraine with large-scale financial support for 2026–2027. The total amount of the loan is expected to reach 90 billion euros, which will be an important step for the stability of the Ukrainian economy and the strengthening of the country's defense capabilities.

According to preliminary agreements, these funds will be divided into two main areas. About 30 billion euros are planned to be directed toward budgetary support, which will help cover the state budget deficit and ensure the operation of social services. The remaining 60 billion euros will be allocated specifically for the needs of the defense sector.

Currently, European Union representatives note that Ukraine's exact needs for this period are still being discussed. As the situation in the country is constantly changing due to the ongoing war, European partners continue to analyze the current requests of the Ukrainian government to make the aid as effective as possible.

This financial support package demonstrates the EU's continued attention to the situation in Ukraine. It is expected that the details of the allocation of these funds will be refined during future negotiations between Kyiv and Brussels.
