Innovative protection against the latest enemy drones developed in Ukraine
Ukrainian engineers have unveiled a new technological system designed to combat fiber-optic drones. These drones have become a serious challenge for the Ukrainian military, as they are controlled via a physical cable, making them invulnerable to standard electronic warfare (EW) equipment.
Fiber-optic drones do not use radio signals to communicate with the operator, so conventional jammers cannot interrupt their flight. The new development, already being called a "smart fence," is intended to change the situation on the battlefield. The system is aimed at detecting and neutralizing such devices before they reach their target.
Although the details of how the system works are kept secret for security reasons, it is known that it uses the latest detection methods. This allows for effective countermeasures against threats that were previously considered almost impossible to stop using electronic defense means.
Implementing such technologies is critically important for protecting Ukrainian positions and equipment. The developers continue to test the system in real-world conditions to ensure maximum effectiveness against modern enemy technologies.
This innovation underscores the high level of Ukrainian engineering ingenuity in wartime conditions. Further scaling up the production of such systems will help significantly strengthen the country's defense capabilities and save the lives of Ukrainian defenders.
