Prosecutor General of Ukraine outlines conditions for his resignation
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kravchenko has made an official statement regarding his future in the position. During a recent briefing, he answered journalists' questions about a possible dismissal and outlined the conditions under which he is prepared to leave his post.
According to Kravchenko, he is not clinging to his seat and is ready to resign if his work is deemed ineffective or if parliament expresses a vote of no confidence in him. The Prosecutor General emphasized that his main priority remains upholding the law and the effectiveness of the agency's work under martial law.
He also added that any personnel changes must take place exclusively within the legal framework. Kravchenko stressed that the Prosecutor's Office continues to work on investigating war crimes and combating corruption, despite political discussions surrounding the structure's leadership.
Currently, no official motions for the dismissal of the Prosecutor General have been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada. Political experts note that the issue of the resignation of heads of security agencies remains relevant to society, as the transparency of law enforcement agencies is an important condition for Ukraine's European integration.
The situation remains under control, and further decisions will depend on the results of an audit of the Prosecutor's Office's activities and political consultations in parliament. Citizens expect stability in the work of state institutions that ensure law and order in the country.
