Ukrainians abroad will be able to receive free legal aid

Starting August 1, new opportunities for receiving legal support have been launched for citizens of Ukraine who are outside the country. The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has expanded access to the free legal aid system to help Ukrainians protect their rights in difficult life situations.

Previously, only those residing within the territory of Ukraine could receive such assistance. Now, Ukrainians who were forced to leave the country due to the war can contact specialists remotely. This applies to matters of family, inheritance, and labor law, as well as the processing of documents or obtaining social benefits.

To receive a consultation, citizens do not need to visit offices in person. Lawyers can be contacted through the official website of the free legal aid system, the mobile application, or via messengers (Telegram and Viber). A hotline is also available, where specialists provide clarifications on legal issues.

It is important to note that the services are provided free of charge. Lawyers assist not only with consultations but also with the preparation of necessary documents or appeals to government agencies. This significantly simplifies the process of resolving legal problems for those who find themselves in another country without knowledge of local laws.

This initiative is part of the state policy to support Ukrainians who have suffered from Russian aggression. It is expected that this step will help thousands of citizens better navigate the legal field and ensure the protection of their interests, wherever they may be.
