ARMA reports a hacker attack on its servers
The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has announced a cyberattack on its information systems. The incident occurred on August 18, immediately before an important tender regarding the management of assets belonging to Russian oligarch Mikhail Fridman.
According to agency representatives, specialists recorded an intrusion that bears clear signs of a hacker attack. Technical experts are currently working to restore full server functionality and protect the data stored in the system.
This incident has caused concern, as ARMA is responsible for managing confiscated property that is of great importance to Ukraine's economy. The attempt to interfere with the agency's operations may be linked to efforts to obstruct transparent procedures for the sale or management of assets belonging to sanctioned individuals.
