Ukraine and Slovenia prepare a new drone supply agreement
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the preparation of a new defense agreement with Slovenia. The parties plan to conclude a contract that provides for the joint production and supply of unmanned aerial vehicles for the needs of the Ukrainian military.
This cooperation is part of Ukraine's strategy to strengthen its own defense potential. Slovenia has repeatedly provided military aid to Kyiv, but the new "Drone Deal" is intended to bring the partnership to a qualitatively new level. It is expected that the agreement will help provide the front line with modern technologies necessary for reconnaissance and the execution of combat missions.
During the discussion of the details of the future contract, the parties emphasized the importance of technological development. The use of drones has become a critically important element of modern warfare, so involving European partners in the production of UAVs will allow Ukraine to receive the necessary equipment more quickly.
In addition to defense issues, the leaders of the countries discussed further support for Ukraine on its path to the European Union and NATO. Slovenia confirmed its readiness to continue helping Ukraine with infrastructure reconstruction and humanitarian issues.
It is expected that representatives of the defense ministries of both countries will sign the official documents in the near future. This step will be another confirmation of the strong relations between Ukraine and its European partners in the fight for independence.
