Ukraine and Germany sign defense agreements worth 8.5 billion euros
Ukraine and Germany have officially concluded 15 new agreements on defense cooperation. The total value of the agreements amounts to 8.5 billion euros. This aid package is aimed at significantly strengthening the security of Ukrainian skies and supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor.
The bulk of the funds will be directed toward the procurement of modern air defense systems. Specifically, this concerns the supply of new missiles for Patriot systems, which are already effectively protecting Ukrainian cities from enemy attacks. Furthermore, the agreements provide for the acquisition of modern radars for target detection.
Significant attention has been paid to combating unmanned aerial vehicles. Germany will provide Ukraine with specialized equipment and technology for drone countermeasures, which will help better protect critical infrastructure and military facilities from aerial attacks.
These agreements are the result of long-term cooperation between the countries and confirm reliable support from Berlin. The new weaponry will help Ukraine respond more effectively to the challenges of the war and ensure better protection for the civilian population.
