Ukraine to receive licenses for the production of missiles for Patriot systems
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced an important decision by the United States of America. U.S. President Donald Trump has officially approved the granting of licenses to Ukraine for the production of missiles for Patriot air defense systems.
Patriot systems are among the most effective air defense assets in the world. They help the Ukrainian military protect cities and critical infrastructure from Russian missile attacks. The ability to produce its own missiles will significantly strengthen our state's defense capabilities.
This decision is the result of long-term negotiations between Kyiv and Washington. Obtaining the licenses will allow Ukraine to establish its own production of ammunition, which will reduce dependence on supplies from abroad and accelerate the replenishment of stocks to protect the Ukrainian sky.
Currently, specialists are working on the technical aspects of implementing this agreement. It is expected that cooperation with American partners will help not only to strengthen Ukraine's security but also to develop the domestic defense-industrial complex.
