A new flu and ARVI epidemic season has begun in Ukraine
A new epidemic season for influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) has officially started in Ukraine. According to experts' forecasts, this period will last quite a long time — until May 2027. During this time, doctors expect an increase in the incidence rate among the population.
Medical professionals emphasize that the autumn-winter period is traditionally accompanied by the spread of viruses. ARVI and the flu are transmitted rapidly through airborne droplets, especially in places with large crowds of people, such as public transport, schools, or offices.
The main method of protection against severe flu cases remains vaccination. Doctors advise getting vaccinated before the peak of the incidence begins so that the body has time to develop immunity. In addition, it is important to follow basic hygiene rules: wash your hands more often, ventilate rooms, and avoid contact with sick people.
If you feel the first symptoms of a cold, such as a fever, sore throat, or cough, experts recommend staying at home and contacting your family doctor. Self-medication can be dangerous, so it is important to follow professional advice to recover quickly and not spread the infection further.
