Russian strike on a market: consequences of the attack and the situation in the region
Russian forces carried out a massive shelling of civilian infrastructure, focusing entirely on a city market. According to preliminary data, the enemy used 12 guided aerial bombs. This attack led to large-scale destruction and the outbreak of major fires at the scene.
Rescue services, medics, and police are working at the site of the strike. Numerous civilian casualties have been reported. The exact number of victims is currently being established, as debris removal and search operations continue under difficult conditions.
Local authorities are urging residents to follow safety rules and not to ignore air raid alerts. Due to significant damage to buildings and infrastructure, traffic has been blocked in the market area, and emergency services continue to mitigate the consequences of the enemy fire.
This shelling is yet another example of the danger that Ukrainian cities face every day. Law enforcement agencies have already launched an investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war, documenting evidence of another crime against civilians.
