World Health Organization warehouse damaged following night attack on Odesa region
On the night of September 22, Russian forces carried out another attack on the Odesa region. The city of Chornomorsk was hit by the enemy strike, resulting in damage to a World Health Organization (WHO) warehouse facility.
In this warehouse, the organization stored essential medical supplies intended to assist the population. According to preliminary information, the building sustained significant damage due to falling debris and the blast wave during the attack.
Local authorities and rescue services responded promptly to the incident. Fortunately, there were no people on the warehouse premises at the time, so there were no casualties or injuries among the staff.
Experts are currently assessing the scale of the damage and the quantity of destroyed medical supplies. This incident once again underscores the danger that nighttime air attacks pose to Ukraine's civilian and humanitarian infrastructure.
