Canada allocates over $40 million to support Ukrainian veterans
The Government of Canada has announced the provision of financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 40.1 million Canadian dollars. These funds will be directed toward supporting Ukrainian veterans who have been wounded or require assistance upon returning from the front lines.
Funding will be provided through a new international fund. The primary goal of this initiative is to improve the system of rehabilitation and social adaptation for former military personnel. The funds will be used to establish modern support centers and provide professional psychological assistance.
Canada has long been one of Ukraine's key partners in the areas of defense and humanitarian support. This new aid program underscores the importance of caring for those who defended the country's independence and contributes to the development of veteran policy at the state level.
It is expected that the implementation of projects supported by this fund will begin in the near future. This will help thousands of Ukrainian veterans return to active civilian life more quickly and receive the necessary care.
