Kyrylo Budanov on the conditions for ending the war and the situation at the front
The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, spoke about the current situation at the front and the conditions under which Ukraine could cease hostilities. According to him, the Russian army currently has a certain "room for maneuver," which complicates the task for Ukrainian defenders.
Ukraine's chief intelligence officer emphasized that any conflict must end in negotiations, but they are possible only under certain conditions. Ukraine's main goal remains the restoration of territorial integrity within the 1991 borders. Any other scenarios, according to representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, will not ensure lasting peace in the region.
At the same time, Budanov noted that Russia continues to use its resources to continue the aggression. Occupation forces are trying to exert pressure on various sectors of the front, using their advantage in personnel and equipment. The Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back this offensive, despite difficult conditions and constant shelling of civilian infrastructure.
International support remains an important factor for the future development of events. Ukraine continues to cooperate with partners to obtain necessary weaponry and air defense systems. This is necessary not only to protect cities but also to create conditions under which Russia will be forced to seek a diplomatic way out of the war.
Currently, the situation remains tense, and the Ukrainian military leadership continues to analyze the enemy's strategic plans. The issue of ending hostilities directly depends on the successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the battlefield and the readiness of the international community to support Ukraine until a just peace is achieved.
