Ukraine to allow export of its own weapons: what is known about the new rules
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has announced an important decision regarding the opening of exports for domestically produced weapons. This innovation will allow Ukrainian defense enterprises to sell their products abroad, which is a significant step for the development of the domestic military-industrial complex.
According to the new rules, exports will not be permitted to all countries. The sale of weapons is possible only to those states with which Ukraine has already concluded special agreements, known as the "Drone Deal." These arrangements provide for clear control and cooperation in the field of defense technologies.
Experts note that such a step will help Ukrainian manufacturers attract additional funds to expand production. Companies will be able to direct the profits earned toward creating new types of equipment and modernizing existing developments, which is important for meeting the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
At the same time, the government emphasizes that weapon exports will take place under strict supervision. Each deal will undergo a thorough review to ensure security and compliance with Ukraine's international obligations. The priority remains the supply of the country's own army, so exports are possible only on the condition that state defense orders are fulfilled.
This decision opens up new opportunities for Ukrainian business in the international market. It is expected that the development of exports will contribute to strengthening the economy and increasing the competitiveness of Ukrainian weapons globally.
