Belgium strengthens Ukraine's defense: new F-16 fighter jets and air defense systems
The Belgian government has officially announced the provision of a new military aid package to Ukraine. This decision is aimed at strengthening the defense capabilities of the Ukrainian army and protecting the country's airspace amid the ongoing war.
The main component of the aid will be the transfer of three F-16 fighter jets. These aircraft are an important reinforcement for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as they will help to carry out combat missions more effectively and ensure security on the front line.
In addition to aviation, Belgium will also provide Ukraine with additional ammunition and a new NASAMS air defense system. These systems are considered among the best in the world for protecting cities and critical infrastructure from Russian missile attacks and kamikaze drones.
This step is part of the broader international support that Ukraine is receiving from its partners. It is expected that the received equipment and weaponry will help strengthen the protection of the Ukrainian sky and increase the effectiveness of countering enemy targets.
