Norway has allocated over 100 million dollars to support Ukraine's budget
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the receipt of new financial assistance from Norway. The country has transferred over 100 million dollars to support Ukraine's state budget. These funds were channeled through a special European Union instrument known as the Ukraine Facility.
This financial aid is part of a broader support program that Norway has been providing to Ukraine during the full-scale war. The funds will help the Ukrainian government continue to pay social benefits, salaries for teachers and doctors, and ensure the stable operation of critical infrastructure under martial law.
The Ukraine Facility program was created by the European Union to provide long-term financial assistance to Ukraine. It provides for the allocation of 50 billion euros over four years. Norway is actively participating in these initiatives, demonstrating solidarity with the Ukrainian people and supporting the country's economic resilience.
President Zelenskyy thanked the Norwegian government and people for this important assistance. He emphasized that such support is vital for Ukraine, as it allows for maintaining macroeconomic stability and continuing the fight for independence.
To date, Norway remains one of Ukraine's key partners, providing not only financial but also military and humanitarian aid. It is expected that cooperation between the countries will continue, helping Ukraine overcome the challenges caused by Russian aggression.
