The National Health Service of Ukraine is changing the funding rules for surgical departments

Starting July 1, new requirements for the operation of medical facilities will come into force in Ukraine. The National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) is ceasing funding for surgical departments that perform fewer than 600 complex operations per year.

These changes affect many hospitals across the country, including the surgical department in Domanivka. Because the number of operations performed there does not meet the new standards, the facility will no longer receive budget funds for this area of medical care.

Representatives of the NHSU explain that such steps are aimed at improving the quality of medical services. According to the official version, hospitals that perform a large number of operations have better equipment and more experienced staff, which makes treatment safer for patients.

Local communities and hospital management must now decide how to organize medical care under the new conditions. Patients who require surgical intervention may have to turn to larger medical centers that meet the requirements of the state program.

This reform is part of the overall changes in Ukraine's healthcare system. The state's main goal is to concentrate resources where doctors have constant practice and can guarantee a high level of care.
