Massive attacks on Ukraine: over 2,000 drones and hundreds of aerial bombs in a week
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported a significant intensification of Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages. Over the past week, Russian forces have used a massive amount of weaponry against Ukraine. This creates a serious threat to the safety of the civilian population and the country's critical infrastructure.
According to official data, the occupiers launched approximately 2,100 strike drones over the course of seven days. A significant portion of these drones are modern jet-powered models capable of quickly covering long distances. In addition to drones, the enemy actively used aviation, dropping nearly 1,700 guided aerial bombs (KABs).
Beyond drones and aerial bombs, the Russian army continues to use various types of missiles. Dozens of missile strikes were recorded across different regions of Ukraine during the week. These attacks are aimed at damaging the energy system and residential areas, forcing Ukrainian air defense to operate in an intensified mode.
Ukrainian authorities emphasize the importance of strengthening sky defense. The President has called on international partners to provide more air defense systems to more effectively shoot down enemy targets and protect human lives. The situation remains tense, and Ukrainians continue to follow safety protocols during air raid alerts.
