Is Ukraine facing a food shortage due to Russian shelling: Cabinet of Ministers' assessment
Recently, Russian forces have intensified attacks on Ukraine's logistics infrastructure, particularly on the warehouses of major retail chains. These strikes have sparked concerns among citizens regarding potential shortages of goods and a rapid rise in food prices.
Representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine have analyzed the current situation and assured that it remains under control. Despite damage to individual facilities, the overall supply system for delivering products to stores is operating stably, and no critical shortage of essential goods is being observed.
The government notes that retail chains are actively adapting to new challenges. They are utilizing reserve capacities and changing logistics routes to minimize the impact of enemy attacks on the availability of goods on shelves. This allows for maintaining the product assortment at an appropriate level.
Experts also emphasize that the state continues to monitor the price situation in the market. Although certain price fluctuations are possible due to logistical difficulties, the authorities are working to prevent unjustified price hikes for the population.
At this moment, the food supply situation in Ukraine is not critical. The government continues to monitor the security of warehouses and is working to protect critical infrastructure to ensure stable access to essential goods for citizens in the future.
