In Ukraine, the number of hospitalizations has increased by one and a half times over five years
Over the past five years, Ukraine has seen a significant increase in the number of patients requiring inpatient treatment. According to official data, the hospitalization rate has risen from 5.5 million in 2021 to 8.3 million in 2025.
Experts note that this trend indicates significant changes in both the healthcare system and the health status of the population. The growing number of patients in hospitals places additional strain on medical facilities, which must provide necessary care to all citizens.
In addition to general statistics, specialists are focusing on the demographic characteristics of patients. Specifically, the proportion of hospitalized men is being analyzed, which is an important indicator for understanding the overall picture of morbidity in the country.
Currently, the Ministry of Health continues to monitor the situation to effectively allocate resources and ensure quality treatment. The increase in hospitalizations requires the state to pay constant attention to the development of medical infrastructure and the support of doctors.
