Ukrainian veterans took part in the Invictus sports festival in Germany
On June 13 and 14, an important sporting event took place in the German city of Düsseldorf — the Invictus Germany Sports Festival 2026. The competitions were held at the famous Castello Düsseldorf arena and brought together participants from various countries.
This festival is part of the international Invictus Games movement. The main goal of the event is to support war veterans and military personnel who were injured while performing their official duties. Sport helps participants recover both physically and psychologically.
The Ukrainian team also joined the festival, demonstrating strength of spirit and the will to win. For our defenders, participating in such competitions is an opportunity not only to show their athletic skills but also to draw the attention of the global community to events in Ukraine.
Such international events facilitate the exchange of experience between veterans from different countries. Participants competed in various disciplines, demonstrating a high level of preparation and team support.
The festival in Düsseldorf became another step toward the rehabilitation of veterans through sports. The successes of Ukrainian athletes on the international stage once again prove the indomitability of the Ukrainian people.
