Kharkiv to be the first in Ukraine to receive an FPV drone protection system
Kharkiv will become the first city in Ukraine to install a special protection system against FPV drones. This decision was made to increase the safety of local residents and protect critical infrastructure from constant attacks by enemy unmanned aerial vehicles.
The new technology works like a "dome" over the city. It is capable of detecting and neutralizing drones before they reach their target. The system uses modern electronic warfare equipment that blocks drone control signals.
According to experts, the implementation of such a system is an important step for the protection of large cities. Kharkiv frequently suffers from shelling, which is why it was decided to test this innovative method of defense here. If the tests are successful, similar systems may appear in other regions of the country.
Currently, authorities and military experts are working on configuring the equipment. The main goal of the project is to reduce the number of casualties and ensure the safety of the civilian population, which is under threat of attack every day.
This project is part of Ukraine's broader strategy to modernize air defense. The use of the latest technologies allows for more effective resistance to modern battlefield challenges and protects Ukrainian cities from new types of weapons.
