International Arbitration: Morshynska Shareholders Prepare for Lawsuits
British shareholders of IDS Ukraine, a well-known mineral water producer and owner of the Morshynska brand, have announced their intention to initiate international arbitration. This decision is the result of a long-standing corporate conflict regarding the ownership rights of a portion of the company's assets.
The dispute centers on 34% of the company's shares. These assets were previously seized and transferred to the management of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) of Ukraine. Investors view these actions as a violation of their rights and international investment protection agreements.
Representatives of the shareholders emphasize that they are prepared to defend their position in international courts. They plan to challenge the decision regarding the management of the company's stake, arguing that it negatively impacts business stability and the investment climate in Ukraine.
For now, the situation surrounding Morshynska remains tense. Ukrainian government agencies have not yet provided detailed comments regarding the upcoming legal proceedings. Experts note that the results of this arbitration could become an important precedent for protecting the rights of foreign investors in Ukraine during martial law.
