SBU and GUR prevent terrorist attack prepared by Russian special services
The Security Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, has conducted a successful operation. Through joint efforts, the agencies managed to uncover and prevent the preparation of a terrorist act on the territory of Ukraine that was being planned by Russian special services.
According to the investigation, the Russian Federal Security Service was involved in organizing the crime. Enemy agents attempted to act covertly, using various methods to destabilize the situation in the country. However, Ukrainian intelligence officers and law enforcement officials detected the preparations in time and halted the criminal intentions.
During the investigative actions, it was established that attempts were made to recruit individuals previously associated with one of the units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine to carry out the terrorist attack. Currently, all persons involved in the preparation of the crime have been detained, and investigators are working with them.
Comprehensive measures are currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the case and identify potential accomplices. The situation is under the full control of Ukrainian special services, which continue to work on protecting national security and the safety of citizens.
