Bread and grain prices have risen in Ukrainian supermarkets

Ukrainian consumers have noticed an increase in the prices of basic food products in large supermarket chains. As of mid-September, the cost of bakery products and certain grains has begun to gradually rise.

Specifically, at the Silpo supermarket chain, the price of the popular 350-gram "Sumska Palianytsia Kozatskyi" bread has increased from 13.69 to 14.59 hryvnias. Similar trends toward price hikes are being observed in other major retail chains, such as ATB, Auchan, and Novus.

Experts note that the price changes may be linked to several factors, including energy costs, logistics expenses, and raw material prices. Although the price increases for individual items are small, they are becoming noticeable for the family budget.

For now, shoppers continue to monitor price tags in stores, comparing the cost of goods across different chains. Specialists advise paying attention to promotional offers, which allow for significant savings when purchasing essential food items.
