New tourist route "Ghosts of the Shtetls" launched on the "Mandruy Ukrainoyu" platform
A new tourist route titled "Ghosts of the Shtetls" has been launched on the "Mandruy Ukrainoyu" (Travel Ukraine) platform. This project aims to popularize the region's cultural heritage and attract more travelers to explore the history of Ukrainian cities.
The total length of the route is approximately 200 kilometers. It passes through several cities in the Lviv region, including Lviv, Zhovkva, Velyki Mosty, Sheptytskyi, Sokal, and Belz. Each of these cities has a rich history closely intertwined with Jewish culture and the traditions of past centuries.
The main goal of the route is to showcase the unique architecture and atmosphere of former Jewish towns, known as shtetls. The organizers hope that this format of travel will help preserve historical memory and develop domestic tourism in the region.
