Poland proposes hosting a Patriot missile production plant on its territory
The Polish government has put forward an initiative to host a plant for the production of missiles for Patriot air defense systems. According to Warsaw representatives, they are prepared to host this production on their territory, even though there were previous plans to build such a facility in Ukraine.
Currently, Poland is actively working on creating special legislation that would allow for the implementation of this large-scale project. Official Warsaw emphasizes that the development of the defense industry is a priority for the security of the entire region, especially given the current geopolitical situation.
Patriot systems play a key role in protecting Ukraine's airspace, which is why the issue of producing ammunition for them remains extremely urgent. Poland's proposal could change plans for strengthening the defense capabilities of Eastern European countries.
At this moment, official negotiations between the parties are ongoing. Experts note that the implementation of such a project requires significant investment and time, but it could become an important step toward strengthening collective security and stability in Europe.
