Finland to provide Ukraine with over 28 million euros for energy restoration
Finland has announced the allocation of 28.5 million euros in financial aid to Ukraine. These funds will be directed toward supporting the energy sector, which has suffered significant destruction as a result of Russian attacks.
The funding is being provided through special development cooperation funds. The primary goal of this assistance is to restore damaged power plants and ensure the stable operation of Ukraine's energy system ahead of the cold season.
Ukraine's energy infrastructure remains one of the main targets of enemy shelling. Thanks to the support of international partners, including Finland, Ukrainian energy workers are able to carry out necessary repair work and prepare the grids for operation during winter conditions.
This step is part of a broader strategy of support for Ukraine from European countries. Finland continues to remain a reliable partner, providing not only military but also humanitarian and financial assistance to overcome the consequences of the war.
It is expected that the allocated funds will help improve energy supply for many Ukrainian consumers. The restoration of critical infrastructure remains a priority task for the government of Ukraine and the international community.
