Ukraine plans to open all negotiation clusters with the EU by the end of the year
Ukraine continues its active work toward accession to the European Union. A significant meeting recently took place between representatives of the Ukrainian government and European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos. The main topic of discussion was the acceleration of the negotiation process and the implementation of necessary reforms.
The Ukrainian side expressed its readiness to open the remaining negotiation clusters by the end of 2024. This is an important step that will allow the country to move to the next stage of integration. Opening the clusters signifies the start of detailed discussions on specific EU rules and standards that Ukraine must incorporate into its legislation.
European Commissioner Marta Kos confirmed support for Ukraine on this path. She noted that Kyiv's progress in fulfilling the European Commission's recommendations is noticeable. Both sides emphasized that continuing the fight against corruption and strengthening the rule of law is essential for the successful completion of the negotiations.
Currently, Ukraine is focused on preparing the necessary documents and adapting state institutions to European requirements. The government hopes that the momentum of the negotiations will remain high, despite the difficult conditions of wartime. This is a strategic task for the state, which is intended to bring Ukraine closer to full membership in the European community.
