Ukrainian Veterans Participated in the Invictus Germany Sports Festival in Düsseldorf
The large-scale sports festival Invictus Germany took place in the German city of Düsseldorf. This event is extremely important for veterans and service members who sustained wounds, injuries, or illnesses while performing their duties. The event brought together participants from various countries around the world to support their rehabilitation through sports and an active lifestyle.
The Poltava City Council reported on the participation of Ukrainian representatives in this international celebration of strength and endurance. The participation of our veterans in such competitions is a symbol of the resilience of the Ukrainian people. They demonstrate to the entire world that even after difficult trials, it is possible to set new goals and achieve great success in sports.
The Invictus movement (Invictus Games) was created to help wounded warriors recover not only physically but also psychologically. Sports help veterans return to an active social life and find new friends among fellow service members from other nations. The festival in Germany became another important step toward strengthening international support for Ukraine and its defenders.
The event program included not only sports competitions but also opportunities for communication and the exchange of experience. For many participants, it was an opportunity to tell foreign colleagues about the situation in Ukraine and the importance of solidarity. Such meetings help build strong ties between countries and veteran organizations at the international level.
Supporting veterans remains one of the main priorities for Ukrainian society. Participation in festivals like Invictus Germany helps draw the world's attention to the needs of Ukrainian defenders. It also gives hope to other wounded warriors for successful adaptation and a happy future after completing their military service.
