Ukraine may face a shortage of grain storage capacity
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine reports serious problems with crop storage. Due to the prolonged blockade of seaports, which limits the export of products, the country may experience an acute shortage of warehouse space as early as November.
According to expert forecasts, the volume of grain for which there will not be enough storage space could reach between 8 and 11 million tons. This creates significant risks for the agricultural sector, as farmers will not be able to safely store their harvested crops.
Currently, the relevant ministry is actively looking for ways to resolve this critical situation. The main task is to find additional storage capacity and expand opportunities for exporting grain abroad.
Experts note that the stability of Ukraine's agricultural market currently depends to a large extent on international support. Assistance from partners in logistics and the unblocking of export routes is crucial for preserving the harvest and supporting the country's economy during the war.
