Ukraine has not received official proposals regarding an "energy truce" from Trump
In recent days, information has appeared in global media regarding possible plans by Donald Trump to end strikes on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine and Russia. According to a report by the Financial Times, these discussions concern the idea of a so-called "energy truce" between the countries.
However, the Ukrainian authorities officially state that they currently have no concrete information or confirmed proposals regarding this matter. Government representatives emphasize that such statements remain at the level of media speculation and have not been discussed during official contacts.
Experts note that energy security is a critically important issue for Ukraine, especially during the winter period. Constant attacks on energy facilities significantly affect the lives of millions of citizens, which is why any initiatives that could change the situation cause significant public resonance.
At the moment, Ukraine's international partners have also not provided official comments regarding possible negotiations on energy security. It is expected that the situation will become clearer after the new US administration officially begins its work and defines its foreign policy priorities.
The Ukrainian side continues to emphasize the importance of protecting critical infrastructure and calls on the international community to strengthen support for air defense. The issue of energy system security remains one of the main tasks for the state this winter.
