Kremlin comments on the use of Starlink for strikes on Russian territory
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has made an official statement regarding the possible expansion of Ukraine's access to Starlink satellite communications. The Russian side has responded to discussions about using these technologies to carry out strikes on targets within Russian territory.
In his statement, Dmitry Peskov called such actions a "dangerous and reckless step." According to the Kremlin representative, any expansion of the Ukrainian military's capabilities in this direction causes concern for the Russian leadership.
The Starlink system, developed by SpaceX, has played an important role in providing stable internet connectivity for the Ukrainian military and civilians since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Previously, the issue of using satellites for military operations has repeatedly become a topic of international discussion.
For now, the situation remains tense, as communication technologies are a critically important element of modern warfare. Official Kyiv has not yet provided detailed comments on the new statements from the Kremlin, continuing to focus on ensuring the country's defense capabilities.
The international community continues to monitor developments, as the use of dual-use technologies in wartime has a significant impact on the security situation in the region.
