The second Ukrainian Sports Media Week took place in Kyiv: the future of sports and media
A landmark event for the world of sports and journalism—the second Ukrainian Sports Media Week—recently took place in the capital of Ukraine. This event became the main platform for discussing current issues regarding the interaction between media and sports organizations. Participants of the meeting sought new ways to develop the industry under modern conditions and exchanged professional experience.
One of the central parts of the event was an open Q&A session. It was hosted by well-known media expert Oleksandr Hlushchenko, the author of the popular YouTube project "Perehovorka." His guest was Ihor Zaichuk, Commercial Director of the media service MEGOGO. Together, they analyzed the state of the sports broadcasting market in Ukraine and the role of digital platforms in the lives of modern fans.
During the discussion, the experts discussed in detail how viewer demands have changed in recent years. Special attention was paid to how sports federations and clubs can communicate more effectively with their audiences through modern media resources. Ihor Zaichuk shared MEGOGO's successful experience in creating high-quality content and attracting new subscribers to watch sporting events.
Ukrainian Sports Media Week became not only a place for official speeches but also an important platform for networking. Representatives of various organizations had the opportunity to meet in person and find new partners for future projects. Such events help Ukrainian sports become more professional, commercially successful, and open to the general public.
Developing the dialogue between media and sports structures is critically important for the popularization of sports in the country. The event organizers are confident that the results of this meeting will contribute to the emergence of new and interesting formats that will bring sports even closer to every Ukrainian. This is especially important now, as supporting national sports is a part of societal unity.
