Ukraine to receive over 840 million dollars from the World Bank
Ukraine will receive new financial assistance from the World Bank. The total amount of support is 841 million dollars. These funds will be provided under financial guarantees from the government of Canada, which will allow Ukraine to attract the necessary resources to stabilize the budget.
The received money will be directed toward social needs, in particular for pension payments. This is important for supporting millions of Ukrainians who depend on state social programs during the full-scale war.
International financial assistance remains critically important for the Ukrainian economy. Thanks to the support of partners such as Canada and the World Bank, the state can fulfill its obligations to citizens on time and maintain the operation of government institutions.
This tranche is part of a broader aid program that international financial institutions are providing to Ukraine. The government continues to work with foreign partners to ensure the country's financial stability under martial law.
