Severe heatwave arrives in Ukraine: air temperatures to reach 38 degrees
On Saturday, August 3, a significant rise in air temperature is expected across most of Ukraine. Forecasters are warning of dangerous weather conditions that will cover almost all regions of the country.
The most difficult situation is forecast for the southern and southwestern regions of Ukraine. There, thermometers will rise to 35–38 degrees Celsius. Such temperatures are considered abnormally high for this period of summer.
In the rest of Ukraine, the weather will also be hot, though slightly milder. Daytime air temperatures will fluctuate between 30 and 34 degrees Celsius. Experts advise citizens to be careful and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during daylight hours.
Doctors remind the public of the importance of following safety rules during the heat. It is recommended to drink plenty of water, wear hats, and stay in air-conditioned rooms whenever possible. Special attention should be paid to children and the elderly, who are most vulnerable to high temperatures.
This hot weather is expected to persist throughout the weekend. Residents of Ukraine are advised to monitor official announcements from the State Emergency Service and weather forecast updates to stay informed about changes in the meteorological situation.
